My fastest solve for a very long time.

If you are Quickie solver who wants to move up, this is your chance.   This is another mild Monday where experienced solvers will see the answers very quickly.   

DNF. Not an easy puzzle by any means, but also not as bad as I made it out to be. Some of the clues made me think this was going to be impossible, and I kept second-guessing myself. When I finally revealed the answers I couldn’t get, I thought, was that really all?

Entertainment seems to be something of a theme today with parties; books; television; films; singing; dancing; and musicians all here to divert us.

Inventive at times and mostly very enjoyable.

I made a bit of a meal of this, sitting there with the third highest WITCH

Plenty to chew over after the fact, since a few (especially downs) went in on checkers and without fully understanding the wordplay. By no means an all-weekender, nevertheless.
