A couple of really excellent clues amongst a number of other first-class ones, with plenty of accessible fare as well. Just don’t mention the drugs!

This Bank Holiday extra Jumbo was extra tasty with some chewy bits.

This was a super puzzle with a number of very good anagrams and some top class clues warranting a big tick.

… but my kind of puzzle! Hello everybody. I left this until the bank holiday Monday to solve, so it is to the setter’s credit that I managed to enjoy it despite the punishingly hot weather and resulting lack of sleep. I enjoyed the summer treat in 24a and the strange cocktail in 36d. Cheers setter!

Largely straightforward but with a few NHOs and tricker clues.

A mostly middle-of-the-road Jumbo but with a sting in the tail.

A trickyish puzzle for me to blog this time around.  There do appear to be some oblique meanings of words used

Hi all. This didn’t take me too long (about 45 unhurried minutes) but I did use aids for my last answer: I was clueless as to the order of unchecked letters in 2d. I bet I’ll see it all the time now. Nothing much to add other than thanks to the setter. Thanks setter!
