This Robert Teuton was not terribly difficult to solve, but I had a few difficulties with the parsing. Our setter does like to remove parts of words, and has thrown in several &lit clues as well.

… but my kind of puzzle! Hello everybody. I left this until the bank holiday Monday to solve, so it is to the setter’s credit that I managed to enjoy it despite the punishingly hot weather and resulting lack of sleep. I enjoyed the summer treat in 24a and the strange cocktail in 36d. Cheers setter!
Times Cryptic 29555 – I will assume desert
Slim pickings on the left hand side, but quite quickly broke into the right and finished back where I started in the NW. As usual when I achieve a time I’m happy with, I had several lucky flashes of inspiration (okay, biffs) that then had to be reverse engineered.
