I found this quite tricky to finish off: I had four clues left at the 6 minute mark, and took another 4:30 for the 11d-13ac and 6d-19ac crossers.

Straightforward, but not boringly so.

The first five across flew in but then things got stickier all round. Major problems were 7dn which threw me with the spelling and, finally, 15dn was a dnk but a fair bet.

Warm greetings from sunny Dorset, where I am staying with my friend Willow the cat and his humans.
I enjoyed this one, from the neat 1a to the smooth 19d. Lately I seem to fare better than usual with puzzles ending in 5: perhaps blogging focusses my mind. Therefore, I will just leave it to you all to report back on how you found it. Thanks Jalna!

Another orgy of anagrams, which took a little while to get going, but flowed well after that

14-minute completion for this Orpheus puzzle, which includes much to be admired.

My anagram skills were well and truly put to the test here, but I think I did all right. This puzzle featured a nice variety of tough clues, which made for a very enjoyable solve overall. Incidentally, now that classes are over, I’ve been doing the puzzles most days, and I’m enjoying getting back into the flow!

Lots of double definitions and anagrams. Just crept inside 10 minutes again but it was very tight. POI 9ac gave the final crucial checker for LOI 3dn. Thanks Trelawney.

Solving time: 9 minutes with time lost thinking that 9dn was going to be a pure anagram instead of just a partial.

I’ve got my second Teazel in a row to blog. Today’s Quick Cryptic is again typically teazing with one or two tricky bits, but not overly so – I finished in a just-over-average time for me of 5:34. I liked the bag-lady, the punishment and the green thing best and finished with 12A. Thank-you Teazel for the excellent crossword and the spelling lesson (q.v.). How did you all get on?
