Hello again. I liked this crossword, which I thought had a distinct tinge of the sciences about it

Nice wordplay and interesting surfaces made this an enjoyable solve.

I would have to say that this puzzle is very, very good without being excessively tricky.   Everything is completely fair, you just have to take what the setter says and run with it. I tried to speed up by putting in the easy answers and biffing the rest, but to no avail.    

37:29. I was concerned about solving a Friday puzzle after an early morning and long day of plane travel, but I’m quite pleased with this time for what seems to be a difficult puzzle.

Appropriately for New Year’s Eve, we have a double dose of beer and spirits for our final solve of the year.
