Slow to start (I think I had about 3 answers after 10 minutes), but managed to find a few more accessible clues hidden here and there.

Mostly straightforward but I had a MER at a couple of definitions along the way.

I found this a rather easy Monday puzzle, but I did have all the knowledge. The two long answers should be obvious just from the enumerations and literals, which will give everyone a good start.
Times Cryptic No 28961 — …and the rockets’ red glare…
100 minutes for this very hard puzzle! Sunburnt and tired from a day at the beach (it was Independence Day here in the US), I pushed myself to finish this puzzle far beyond what seemed reasonable.
