It stung that I took so long to see 1ac, but overall this was a regular Saturday puzzle. 18dn may be unfamiliar to some, but I think I’ve heard the word used that way before.

Times 28475 – wherein doth sit the dread
Very pleased with my time, as this felt like more of a stinker than late.
Times Quick Cryptic No 2289 by Izetti
Once again we have a Quick Cryptic from our old friend Izetti for our Friday amusement. Some great clues. I thought it not too difficult, taking an average time for me of 5:28 but mileage for others may differ as there are a few tricky clues. COD to 3D for the obvious personal reason but I liked 1A, 4D and 8D too, among others. Thank-you Izetti! How did you all get on?
Fortnightly Weekend Quick Cryptic. This time it is Phil’s turn to provide the extra weekend entertainment. You can find the latest crossword here. Enjoy!

Times Quick Cryptic No 2287 by Orpheus
Today’s gentle offering from Orpheus contains perhaps only one vocabularic obscurity, making this a decent entry-level puzzle. How did you get on?
Times Cryptic 28472
I didn’t find this one hard but there were 5 or 6 words or meanings unknown to me

Having just written out the blog, I’m not sure why this took me 13 minutes. All very enjoyable – thanks, Teazel.
Times Quick Cryptic 2285 by Oink
Hello from London, where I am taking refuge with Mr Kitty for a break before the seasonal madness begins. This is my last blog before all that, so I will take the opportunity to wish all of you the kind of time you would like.
An enjoyable Monday offering from Oink, I thought, with the usual piggy appearance early on and a visit from one or two of his farmyard friends too. 1d and 9d are my pick of the clues today, from a strong field. Thanks Oink!
