A rather simple Monday puzzle, but one lacking pizzazz. I really shouldn’t have taken as long as I did.

Times Quick Cryptic 2175 by Teazel
Hi everybody. Teazel puzzles seem to invariably* hit my expected solving time, and just to fit my expectations of a Quick Cryptic generally. 15d is my pick of the clues (despite being a little deprived of snooze due to the current heatwave), but I expect a range of different favourites today. Thanks Teazel!

Nice to see a reference to ABBA, while they are making their virtual reappearance on stage, even though our household would rather you gave us that old time rock ‘n roll! This puzzle had things that needed reflection – overnight, if not actually after midnight.
Quick Cryptic 2174 by Hawthorn
This didn’t put up a great deal of resistance, coming in well under target at 4 and a bit minutes.
Times 28,337: How Now Brown CH4
I thought this was just great and perfectly matched to its day of the week. Loads of brilliantly deceptive definition parts merging seamlessly into smooth surfaces. The best setters make it look easy but it … Read more “Times 28,337: How Now Brown CH4”
Times 28336 – the president, not the haircut
Time taken: 14:16, but with a very silly mistake that was clearly indicated in wordplay, I was just on automatic pilot and fluffed the spelling of 1 across. I think this is on the trickier … Read more “Times 28336 – the president, not the haircut”
