Next Monday, I’m visiting NI to discuss possible improvements to the crossword club site. If you have anything really new to suggest on this front, let me know here. If you don’t remember all the history, “really new” means something not already mentioned in the various messages on our Crossword Club memories page.

  1. Relax the time-out feature to at least an hour. What’s the downside? Also, if you have timed out, *any* link or keypress should take you back to the login page and not to a useless page telling you you’ve timed out.. at present some do, some don’t.

    Also, it is outrageous that the recent Mephistos, for example, are available on part of The Times site but not on the part that crossword club members have paid for. At the very least they should have immediately provided a link to the part that works.

    But all the big problems are operator ones not technical ones.

  2. Have not noticed anyone from abroad winning any of the prizes for some time now.
    How about a separate set of prizes for non- UK participants of which I’m sure there are quite a few?
