Mephisto 2926 by Tim Moorey – who needs 3 and 4 letter words?

Posted on Categories Mephisto
A puzzle distinguished by its most unusual grid which is 12×12 but has only 24 lights with four five letter words the shortest answers. An interesting piece of compilation. I found it relatively easy because 1A fell straight away (creamed with English a real giveaway) as did 11D (head of committee and special transport).

Older solvers should note the request at the bottom of the clues for memories of days of yore to be sent to puzzle.feedback@sunday-times.co.uk (NB there is a typo in the e-mail address given in the request – the one I’ve given is correct)
