I sped through the top half of this one, thinking maybe another PB, only to grind to  a halt in the SE corner.

I found this mostly straightforward.

Experienced solvers won’t be expecting much of a challenge from a Monday puzzle, and they won’t be getting it.    Yes, I could see where you might be held up if you didn’t have one or two bits of  vital information,  but each clue offers two simple ways of reaching the answer.

20:21. I’m not sure what I’ve done to deserve getting the easier Fridays. I was kind of hoping to get smashed by a real toughie, but it doesn’t seem like this is the one.

Time taken: 14:23. Kind of relieved for that, as I could not see a solution immediately for an across clue until I hit 22 across. Lots of clues that require a careful consideration.

I found myself romping through this one, wondering when I was going to grind to a halt (which happens often).

Mostly very enjoyable

Nothing too much to scare the horses here, apart perhaps from the US mountain.
