This might be the hardest crossword I have ever attempted to blog.

Once again an enjoyable Wednesday puzzle, with some intricate wordplay.

There were enough quite easy clues to get me started but I found myself bogged down on a number of others.

I have to admit, I really stepped on it for this one, coming close to my time for the Quickie.    The only problem is that I didn’t bother to parse most of the clues, which I will now do.

In which I pay the price for not being more well-read.

Time taken 7:07, but I’m not sure I would file this immediately under not-so-tricky Thursday just yet.

A pleasant test which took me fifteen minutes.

The answers went in easily enough but some wordplay was missing until I came to write the blog.
