Times 29239 – Here come the Tornados!
These grids with many longer words are often associated with the difficult Friday puzzles, but this is definitely a Monday one. After getting a few answers, I started to work from the literals and got most of it done very quickly.
Times Cryptic No 29237 — Oh so close
DNF, because I needed to look up one clue to finish things off. I found this challenging, and was stuck about halfway through, when thankfully Mr Biff came to my rescue. I’ll need to parse some of these as I write the blog.
Times 29236 – Tricky Thursday comes roaring back!
Time taken: 10:54. I was held up thinking that this might be a pangram and was hunting for a Q in the last few answers, but it was not to be.

This seemed to be a puzzle with a kind of mid-Atlantic flavour.

I found the puzzle a bit strange, as it is an admixture of clues suitable for the Quickie with a few that are very convoluted. If you just put in the obvious answers, you’ll finish, but you may want to know why the answers are the answers.
