Times Cryptic No 28469 — Call it hell, call it heaven
DNF, but about 20 minutes to get to my sticking points: 13 and 23 across. Not a difficult puzzle but nevertheless one I labored over. I am still waiting for and expecting a truly beastly Friday to reckon with!

28:29, which suggests I found this difficult, though I imagine most of you will have found this gentle for a Friday. I think I was off the wavelength: most of the answers were easier than I was trying to get them to be.

Not my finest effort. Most of this puzzle was quite easy, but there were a few clues in the upper-left which completely stymied me!

I was well and truly Teazed! But at least I finished, albeit in 11:19. This was very tricky but very satisfying.

A good workout by Hurley! Challenging wordplay (but not overly so), combined with some misleading surfaces, made for a very enjoyable solve.

I can scarcely be said to have finished this puzzle, but let us say it came to an end in 13:28.

DNF, because sometimes you’re an American.
