DNF, because sometimes you’re an American.

6:33, which I would say is the time I tend to get when I have a lock on enough of the wordplay in each clue to biff the rest. Sadly, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy this puzzle, as I am currently trying to stay sane on “vacation” with my kids.

8:30. I found this a bit tricky, though I was also a bit distracted. Joker’s puzzles are always on the harder side, so I suppose I’m just glad to have finished!

24:09 for a puzzle with some delightful words, many unknown to me. Some of the wordplay will have to be figured out in medias blog, as I confess to having biffed several answers.

7:06, reflecting the chewiness of this puzzle. Judging from some of my fellow solvers’ times, I didn’t do too badly!

5:17, reflecting a gentler affair, by my standards. Last one in was 1 across, where I shewed my ignorance of British royalty (sorry to say). No eyebrow raises for any of these clues, which are very polished and well put together.

Good morning! I’m subbing for Ulaca today. This will be my first time blogging a 15×15 puzzle after a handful of years blogging every other Wednesday Quick Cryptic. Of course, I felt the pressure to finish in a good time, and accordingly “struggled inch by inch”, finishing in 24:27.

My anagram skills were well and truly put to the test here, but I think I did all right. This puzzle featured a nice variety of tough clues, which made for a very enjoyable solve overall. Incidentally, now that classes are over, I’ve been doing the puzzles most days, and I’m enjoying getting back into the flow!
