For the first time, a published book of Times crosswords includes puzzles we’ve blogged at Times for the Times. Times crossword editor Richard Browne has kindly told me how the puzzles in this book correspond to the published sequence, so this index gives you links to the blogs for the puzzles included. I’ve left out the Jumbo reports from my solo version of the blog, as these usually just recorded my solving time. Each entry under “Number when published” links to the report for the puzzle.
There may be small differences between the clues in the book and the ones originally published. If you notice a difference that makes the blog report misleading, tell me by e-mailing jumbo9(at)biddlecombe.demon.co.uk and I’ll then check it out and add a comment to the blog report if appropriate.
Posts like this one will be added to the Memories page under “Times xwd book indexes” so that you can find them when you need them. The first reports with information relating to daily puzzles are expected to be in book 14 of that series, the next one to be published.
Here’s the Amazon UK page for the book. According to the Amazon and HarperCollins sites, it’s published today.

Jumbo Book 9, published in 2009, says it has puzzles from the period March 2006 to Jan 2007.
Times Crossword Book 13, also published in 2009, says that its puzzles appeared in the paper in 2005. Which means that I might have written about a few of them in the original one-man band version of TftT, but most of them would have preceded 2 December 2005 when that started.
Book 14, published in 2010, says that its puzzles were printed in 2006, which confirms the stated expectation before the list of links. My honest guess is that if you have a freebie book from last year’s championship, it would be later in the series (my newest one being no. 23).
