  1. 23 minutes for a straightforward solve with only SERIN unknown to me but it was enough once again to scupper my assault on the 20 minute barrier.

    It amuses me that LENT can be clued as both ‘fast’ and ‘slow’ so it seems a shame not to take advantage of this in the clue, but perhaps the idea has been done to death although I don’t remember seeing it more than once before
