  1. For 7d I thought “dam” = to halt and crazy = “pots” (as in “potty”) which I wasn’t really sure about.

Obviously this makes much more sense.

  2. Using laptop (Windows) or Android (HUDL) all I get

is yesterday’s puzzle. Does anyone have a remedy?

  3. I enjoyed this one as I usually do with Teazel’s offerings. Nothing too testing but I was held up by 19a as I’d put Gurb in for the second half of 12d which made it a tad tricky. LOI 12a as I was trying to make an anagram of Tulips for a while. COD 7d.
  4. Puzzle doesn’t seem to be online, so I had to do the paper version.

Started off very quick but came to a grinding halt with POTSDAM and CUSTOM. 34 mins in the end.

    1. I got the puzzle on the Times app on my Android phone. I usually need it printed out, so I was pleased to finish it apart for Potsdam. I should have seen the ‘over’ indicator but it was beautifully hidden in the surface.

  5. I tend to find Teazel the hardest setter but was rattling through this until I came to a halt with just 7d to go. Main reason for my problem was I had put in suited at 13a. Finally saw the error of my ways.

    Favourite TONSURE.

  6. Loved this puzzle from start to finish. Started doing the QC about 6 months ago and this is the first time I have ever dared post a comment. Am still not the fastest and am generally on a par with Brian but today’s puzzle was a true eureka moment for me. 7d was my first one in and worked at my snail-like pace until LOI 13a. My best ever time of 20 mins – and all thanks to the help of you wonderful bloggers.
  7. Thanks for your kind remarks and congratulations on your achievement today – proof that it does get easier with practice and determination. I hope you will stick around and contribute regularly.
