I forgot to note my time, but sad to say, I nodded off briefly and I’m sure I exceeded my 15 minute target.

As usual definitions are underlined in bold italics, {deletions and substitutions are in curly brackets} and [anagrinds, containment, reversal and other indicators in square ones]. “Aural wordplay” is in quotation marks. I now use a tilde sign ~ to indicate an insertion point in containment clues. I usually omit all reference to juxtaposition indicators unless there is a specific point that requires clarification.

Definitions underlined in bold italics, (Abc)* indicating anagram of Abc, deletions and [] other indicators.

  1. Late to the party! I’d been anticipating that I’d get my comeuppance soon after a few comfortable weeks and boy did I today! So far off the pace that I may as well have not bothered to start. No idea why, all perfectly fair. Threw in the towel at 25 mins. In fact I did better at the 15×15. Ah well.

  2. Always enjoy Oinks puzzles. Thanks for blog Jack.
Oink – would love to see your trademark clue relate to wild boar young one day!
