  1. Okay, I’ll get the ball rolling. One from the start of the month, one – in fact, two – from the end; one daily, one ST:

Puzzle of the month: Fri 31 Jan, 25386, http://times-xwd-times.livejournal.com/932784.html

Clues of the month: Sun 6 Jan, 4519, 14ac, Love children leading in British publicity (8) [BASTARDS]

Clues of the month: Sun 6 Jan, 4519, 19dn, Unreliable transport provided by old railway firms holding on (7) [BRONCOS]

Lots of other good stuff, but I made a mental note of these two clues, and the puzzle was a shoo-in, although Dean ran close.

  2. At the risk of violently agreeing with voters so far…

Puzzle of the month: Thu 31 Jan, 25386, http://times-xwd-times.livejournal.com/932784.html

(in case a tie-break is required, a ‘highly commended’ to 25,363 and anax’s ST 4519)

As far as clues go, I particularly liked:
Fri Jan 11, 25369, 18dn, Up the ante for one such! (7) [VOLCANO]

    just ahead of
Thu Jan 3rd, 25362, 14dn, Who may serve out a red and a white (4,6) [HEAD WAITER]

  3. I’m in the 25386 camp too.
Favourite clue is very easy for me, and the same as Olivia’s: 25a last Saturday (25376).
  4. Clue of the month: Thu 31 Jan, 25386, 26a: The forging of one copy with a drive? (5,6) VIDEO PIRACY

My vote for puzzle of the month to 25386 too.

  5. I’m with mctext on the best clue: Tues 15 Jan, 25372, 10ac, Storing most of new mobile phone numbers? (9) [RINGTONES]. Its surface reading is perfect, and every part of it is misleading. A perfect clue! But I did like the MASCARA one too.
  6. I suppose I’d better vote myself! For me, Puzzle of the Month was 25376, and best clue was 10ac from 25372.
