Times Cryptic Jumbo 1746 – what about the third place playoff?

Another gentle Jumbo on my watch, done and dusted in about 30 minutes, so probably a good puzzle for less experienced solvers to have a bash at.

This puzzle asked us to reverse letters many times.

Time taken: 10:00 on the dot! Although there are a few Americanisms in the grid, I was not on the wavelength of my adopted country.

Very pleasant puzzle today, nothing contentious or too tricky, and some nice anagrams.

A medium-to-easy one from Beck, I thought.

No bones about it – I found this on the harder side though maybe it was just me.

Much of this was straightforward but I needed aids for one answer so it counts as a DNF.
