Monthly Club Special 20,241: As Easy As 12ac?

Another great MCS with a fine smorgasbord of unusual words clued with equally rare wit and verve. I loved the devices at 26ac, 4dn, 5dn, 16dn: these puzzles are such a great breeding ground for interesting wordplay that might prove a bit abstruse for normal-strength 15x15s. But I LOVE them and so should you. Thank you setter!

  1. I found this noticeably easier than the previous month’s monster and was able to finish it in one session, for once. Some good surfaces and excellent clueing
Thank you blogger and thank you setter for a fine example of the MCS at its best
  2. It took a while, but Like Jerry I finished in one session, all parsed except YLANG YLANG, not thinking of “slangy”. LHS went in first and SE corner was my last. I needed aid other than my paper copy of Chambers for AMPHIUMA as it isn’t in it. FOI PYRACANTHA – I have a nice specimen in my garden. I liked the wordplay for LAH. Thanks V and setter.
