  1. Agreed this was pretty steady, taking 42 minutes. Almost all the vocab I either knew or could deduce on general principles: TIARAED, PAMPEAN, OSMATE, PANTISOCRAT. WADSETS new to me, but kindly anagrammed.
    I hesitated a long time over NONNET, because in my not-a-book it’s still a poem. Only when checking here did I revisit it and remembered that Mephisto doesn’t tend to bother with hyphens, and NON-NET is indeed a kind of book “without a price fixed by the publisher, but with one which is determined by each bookseller selling that book”.

    1. Apologies for leaving the NON-NET hyphen out of the blog. As you say we tend to ignore them but they should appear in the solution. Now corrected.
