Very strange to see two variations of the same word in the one puzzle, and I was wondering if there was a theme forming from this, but I couldn’t see anything else. I thought this was rather a fun grid, with the longer answers on the outside stretching across the quadrants.

  1. …and even stranger to see SCIMITAR itself in one of the puzzles over the following days. George you have a little typo at 4d.
    SENSEX my LOI as I was sure it was INDEX with a letter in. But I got there in the end with all, I think, parsed correctly. Thanks for confirming that, George and for the puzzle, Don.
