I enjoyed this puzzle which I found about middle of the road in terms of difficulty. I really liked 7A and 22D.

  1. Yes, about average difficulty I’d say. I couldn’t parse 26dn, so thanks for explaining it.
    I had a strange brain freeze over “aged” for “of” in 15dn: I didn’t see the connection and dismissed it without even checking Chambers. As a result I didn’t understand the clue and it was one of my last in, once I had all the other letters. It seems so blindingly obvious now.
