Most of this puzzle fell into place, but it would have helped if I could have worked out the wordplay for 1ac, as I originally had CANNABIS in and that held up my progress on the NE corner. Once I realised it was CANNABIN (even though I still don’t know the wordplay), the NE corner followed quickly. Total solving time, including recourse to reference sources, was just over an hour.

7 FLAW – double definition. A flaw can be a gust of wind.

  1. CANNA is a tropical plant, BIN (NIB<=) is “Bill brought back”
    I also considered CANNABIS and AC reversed at first.
