Live Journal Search function no longer specific to community forum

Contributors  who took part in the recent discussion about the problem with the Live Journal search function may be interested to know that I reported the matter to LJ support and received the response as below. I have tested and it now appears to be working properly. I plan to leave this as a sticky for 24 hours.

“Thank you for your report. This was a temporary issue that has since been resolved by LiveJournal developers. I apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

“If you are still experiencing this issue, please clear your browser’s cache following the instructions at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=160] to ensure that you are viewing the most recent version of the page you are trying to access]”.

  2. Vary glad that the search is back to normal. The issue seemed to affect all LJ sites, and I reported this a while ago. No doubt bloggers here carry more weight than I do, so many thanks for taking time to help get it sorted.
