  1. A less challenging offering from my point of view, taking 1:15:29, which is 15 minutes less than my usual time for a Jumbo. I liked 17a too. The GYRFALCON somehow appeared from the depths of my memory. BELLES LETTRES took a while for the centime to drop. Enjoyable puzzle. Thanks setter and sgh.
  2. Fairly run of the mill, I suppose. DNK BRIDGE the composer, or the other meaning of SQUEEZE, or the Ayrshire town. LOI 41ac. 29d was a pretty ugly surface. COD to 43ac.
  3. 43:46, so on the easy side. DNK the french abbreviation for company at 36A or the Austen novel at 19A (my LOI). I liked TWENTIETH, bur COD to CROWS FEET.
