  1. 1:27:45 but with my usual misspelling of INAUGERAL Bah humbug! Will I never learn? Thanks setter and SGH.
    1. Thank you for the correction – I knew I was compiling this entry too hastily
  2. About 53 minutes for me, so just a little slower than usual. Failed to parse IRON and RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, so thanks for that. RATION would have been my LOI, but I found I’d neglected SERENATA. PANCAKE TUESDAY my favourite.
  3. A couple of DNKs–SHOW A LEG, ISLAND UNIVERSE, TRAT–but they didn’t slow me down too much as I recall. I slowed myself down by tentatively putting in SO at 29d (I tend to say ‘so far as …’), making a mental note to see if it should be AS, and of course losing the mental note, which made PEASANTS REVOLT much harder to spot. In one of Ring Lardner’s absurdist playlets, the curtain descends for 7 days to indicate the passage of a week; would that count as the play going on in the absence of actors?
