My first administrative task with the blog is going to be to find somebody (or bodies) to take over Peter’s blogging duties!

Current vacancies therefore are as follows:

  • The Times every Wednesday – update: mctext has volunteered for this one.

  • Jumbo every 5 weeks (puzzles ending with a 1 and a 6) – update: fathippy2 will be take these on.

Dave Perry has kindly volunteered to take on extra Jumbo duties and take over Pete’s xx0/xx5 slot, but that now leaves a vacancy for the xx1/xx6 slot, as Niall MacSweeney stepped down after no. 896. George Heard will be taking on Pete’s Mephisto blog, and therefore doing every other week rather than once a month.

Thanks to everyone who’s volunteered their time in the past to make this site such a great resource, and a warm welcome to our two newcomers. Good luck with your first blogs and a happy and successful new year to all.

  2. Looking to force my own hand to contribute some more, so will happily take anything spare that needs doing.

    Out of interest, how does one PM on livejournal?

    1. To send: hover the mouse cursor over the user’s icon: Send message.
      Messages live at: Top of the page > Home > Messages > Inbox.
  3. Perhaps if “The Australian” were to be synchronised with “The Times” {and without additional typos}
    you might get some extra volunteers.
