EASTENDERS – memory test

Can any of you help me with this request received by e-mail? The Times xwd editor can only find it as a Jumbo answer earlier this year. I’m not aware of any searchable resource except for information that even more xwd-obsessed folk than me may have at home. (If that’s you, anonymous replies are fine!). Warning: If my ability to remember the date of old clues is an indication, “four or so” could mean anything from about 1 to 15.

I am trying to track down a wonderful Times clue from four or so years ago for which the answer was ‘eastenders’. But frustratingly I can’t reconstruct the clue. Is there some database I could search? Or possibly you could ask on the Times for the Times blog.

  1. Not sure. I’m trying to find a clue from April this year for INDIGO: something to with ‘…I turn blue’. Can’t find it in your archive
    1. Times Saturday 24185 on March 28 had

      I add nitrogen and use a spade round plant (6)

      which doesn’t seem to correspond to your memory of it. Perhaps it was in another place?
