Christmas Crossword blogs

Posted on Categories Announcement
I’ve been reliably informed that on Christmas Day there’s going to be a Quick, a normal 15×15 and a Jumbo, so do we have all these covered? Macavity has volunteered to the Quick but is looking for a sub for New Year’s Day as he’ll be away. The daily scheduled blogger is Zabadak, but if you want a sub, now’s the time to ask! Similarly, the next Jumbo blogger (assuming they follow the numbering) would be Dave Perry, but I don’t whether this is a one-off or a prize puzzle.

There are no expectations from me that these have to be posted on the day – I think “by the weekend” would be reasonable.

I’ve just relegated Pete’s blog, as the day is upon us and nothing apart from the Quick (yet) has been properly confirmed. Jack and Zab, discuss between yourselves. Dave, looks like it is a one-off going by the fake crossword number, but no rush, any time in the next week or so will be fine (or if anyone else wants a crack, please volunteer, as Dave will be up for Jumbo 1125 on Saturday).

Have a great Christmas all.

Andy

  1. I’m available to cover the 15×15 Christmas Day and or the Quickie on NYD if required. Not bothered if not though if others want a go.
  2. If I do the Christmas day 15×15, my comments will certainly not appear on the day, which starts with a midnight Eucharist and continues with a raft of festivities. If Boxing Day would suffice, then I’m happy to contribute (otherwise) as normal. Jack’s offer is generous, though!

  3. Z8b is blogging the main cryptic.

There’s no Christmas Day Quickie on the button so far and the back door remains a mystery, so if anyone finds it please post a link here.

I’m still available for the NYD Quickie if required.

    1. There should be a Christmas Day quickie but it looks like Techie Towers have conspired to give RR a festive non-alcohol induced hangover.

If it appears, the blog will be ready to go.

      Merry Christmas to everyone.
