Biff-tastic

Anagram hats on, everybody.

I was taken back to when I first started doing these during my first pass through the across clues, of which I got two. Two!

I thought today’s offering from Izetti was a bit harder than usual but wasn’t unfair for a QC.

A few answers here may be problematic but there are enough easier ones to build confidence and earn some checkers.

A stiff workout from Felix, with several clues requiring very careful analysis of the wordplay.

A pleasant Quick Cryptic from Teazel today that’s a little tricky in parts – it took me about a minute over my average time finishing in 6:30.  Thanks Teazel. How did you all get on?

Fortnightly Weekend Quick Cryptic.  This time it is my turn to provide the extra weekend entertainment. You can find the crossword, entitled “A Girl’s Adventures”, here. 

I found this a bit on the tricky side, with plenty of effective misdirection.

Gentle off-breaks rather than medium-pace

Some obscurities held me up here, I should imagine a few solvers mouthing a word of prayer before pressing submit.
