I solved this at a leisurely pace on the banks of Ullswater on a sunny but blustery May morning. Standard Jumbo fare I’d say.

Hello! This was a bit of a piglet. At least, I found it so: some very good stuff but some chewy bits. I didn’t finish solo as I had to ask my solvemate for the last answer, 40d. There were a few things I had to look up to write the blog and others I know only from crosswords, such as old crossword friends Timothy and Eric. Nice to meet them again – it’s been a while. Thanks setter!

Hello again. I thought this Jumbo was excellent with enough easier clues to get you going and some cleverer ones to provide the entertainment.

A slightly trickier than usual Jumbo for the Easter Monday holiday with some great clues.

This moderately challenging puzzle detained me for around 50 minutes, but some of the parsings needed a bit more work to figure out.

Hi everyone. This was on the whole a very satisfying solve. Not the fastest (just squeaked in under the hour), but a nice even pace throughout. Lots of highlights. Thank you to the setter.

I don’t remember much about solving this pleasant Jumbo but doing the blog, though, reminded me that it contains a number of witty definitions and a couple of pieces of clever wordplay. Nice one. Thank-you setter.
