A new feature in the Sunday Times this year is a cryptic crossword where all the clues relate to a news story during the year. Published only online as there is no printed paper on Christmas Day, you can find the puzzle here in The Times Crossword Club.
I thought this the best Cryptic Jumbo we’ve had for ages – full of entertaining clues of which there are too many to pick a favourite. It was also quite chewy in places. Thank-you setter!
Once again we have a Quick Cryptic from our old friend Izetti for our Friday amusement. Some great clues. I thought it not too difficult, taking an average time for me of 5:28 but mileage for others may differ as there are a few tricky clues.
