What a contrast with the puzzle I blogged last Friday! I needed over an hour more than today for that one.

Solving time: Off the scale – I stopped counting when the hour passed.

Please note as this is an emergency blog it doesn’t contain all detail I would normally hope to include.

My solving time confirms that this one didn’t present very many problems but there were two or three unknowns where I slowed right down to work through the wordplay to arrive at the answers.

This was mostly straightforward but an interesting puzzle to solve and blog. I had one unknown answer which was clearly correct from wordplay but took me rather by surprise and I shall be interested to find out if others also didn’t know it.

I found this mostly straightforward with no unknown words of meanings apart from the artist  at 25ac who’s making his first appearance apparently.

My solving time of 25 minutes was well within my target half-hour but would have been even quicker if I had not been delayed by two unknowns at 7dn and 11dn.
