30:32, a time which in no way reflects the difficulty of this puzzle, but rather the difficulty of trying to solve the puzzle while tending to my children who kept getting out of bed. A pleasant solve, not as hard as last Wednesday, with a few words not in my everyday vocabulary but easy enough to deduce.

I didn’t find this easy but I enjoyed its occasional quirkiness and was pleased to finish without resorting to aids.

Not my favourite type of crossword this, where an essentially straightforward puzzle has one clue which is of a totally different character to all the others.
