2014 Times Crossword Championship results

Sorry for the delay in getting this up – before last year I used to laboriously create an HTML table and post it here, then last year Pete gave me a link to the file somewhere on the Times site. This year he sent me the file, but I couldn’t see how to upload it to LiveJournal, so instead I’ve shared it on Dropbox and linked to that (see right-hand menu).

  2. Yes, works fine Andy… there is now a .pdf on the Crossword Club website as well, under “Club News.”

    What I cannot at all make work in Firefox is the “About this blog” page, though it seems OK in IE. It is seriously out of date now, still has Jimbo & MC Text listed, etc… maybe we should issue a call to all the new bloggers for a little biog. to add

    1. Good point Jerry – I’ll write up a call for updated/new bios for bloggers later. I’m not sure what you mean about the page not working though – I’ve checked it in Firefox on Windows 8.1 and Linux, and also in IE, and it looks the same in either browser to me.
      1. no.. It produced a frame, with all the text squeezed into a 1in wide space. Forget it, unleaded others report the same thing. .
      2. Works fine for me too in Firefox/Windows7.

        Could I also suggest the About Summary be updated to include the Times Quickie? This could also be the place to defend our corner and state our policy on what we do and why we do it with specific reference to QC blogging. And perhaps to mention RR’s aims and objectives as stated in his launch day article, that is if we can’t get permission to reproduce the whole thing as we have been discussing.
