The lower half of this went in smoothly, but I was delayed a while with a few clues near the top where the setter had misled me.

Times 28665 – easy come, easy go? Not at all.
This was one of those puzzles that found me completing most of the clues in quick time but struggling with a few at the end.
Times 28659 – “suffering rattlesnakes!”
A pleasant solve, not as hard as last Wednesday, with a few words not in my everyday vocabulary but easy enough to deduce.
Times 28653 – a wine or two for the fish course.
A real potpourri of unusual words in this one, needing a bit of general knowledge and inspiration.
Times 28647 – “it’s the thing the … Soup is made from”, said the Queen.
A classical feel to this one, with a bit of classic rock as well.
Times 28641 – “If a guy is over 25 percent jerk, he’s in trouble.”
I don’t know about you, but I found this quite difficult; there were no words I didn’t know, but some of the definitions were cunningly hidden and deceptive.
Times 28635 – I remember those eyebrows
Another super puzzle from our Wednesday setter, with nice wordplay and nothing very obscure.
Times 28629 – all that jazz.
A good puzzle made all the more enjoyable with the inclusion of some unusual words.
Times 28623 – making out and crawling about.
A jolly romp of a puzzle this Wednesday, which I solved in 16 minutes with the top left corner last to be completed.
Times 28617 – from Shakespeare to the stars.
A more meaty and esoteric puzzle than we’ve had on a Wednesday for a while. which I really enjoyed.
