My first go at blogging Jalna – this is a nicely-balanced grid with an even mixture of clue-types.

First time I’ve blogged one of Joker’s offerings. Not too much here that is too tricky though I was mainly held up by the two thirteen-letter words and a hastily bunged-in 2d which required some backtracking.

It all began rather sedately with just three inked in on the first pass of the across clues, however a bumper crop of gentle down clues turned the tide…

This is my first time blogging one of Oink’s offerings. I wonder if some of you will have the same experience as I did….

This is my second time in a row blogging one of Beck’s grids. I thought it was pretty straightforward but…..

Looking back at the completed grid, I’m not entirely sure why this took the time it did, as there are no especially difficult words there….

A mostly-harmless offering from Hurley, however there were three or four clues which I found quite challenging.

A medium-paced challenge from Izetti requiring a little extra thought in places.

Certainly a few entered here without fully understanding the parsing at first – only fully parsed post-solve. However, a backslap to the setter for 3d – Myrtilus’s creation recognised at last!

A thought-provoking challenge from Felix who is known for the ninas and themes with which his grids are occasionally spiced. Always worth reviewing the grid on completion to see if you can spot anything….
