I solved all but two intersecting clues within 27 minutes but then suffered a mental fog which took another 15 minutes to clear completely

3 minutes over my target half-hour was not too bad for a puzzle that contained several words that one doesn’t see every day or even every week.

This is only Beck’s fourth puzzle, his/her first having appeared last November.

Solving time: 36 minutes.

A very enjoyable Jumbo which once again I completed in a single session

I spent exactly an hour on this and solved all but two clues before resorting to aids to polish them off.

Solving time: 13 minutes

29 minutes. As my solving time indicates, I didn’t have much difficulty with this one.

I thought this was quite tough with the left side of the grid somewhat harder than the right.

I found this a lot more difficult than the average QC
