A real toughie today from Hurley, which took me 27 minutes to complete.

Nothing too outlandish in this offering from Felix. It was a quick solve for me today, all done in 9:15, for a rare sub-10 minute outing.

Lots to like here, although I found this trickier than normal from Trelawney. The three down clues in the NW corner all held out to the very end, as did the storyteller.

I thought I was in for a real battle here after my first pass through all the across clues resulted in only three answers. Three!

Slow, quick, slow. Harder than average, I think.

A tricky offering from Izetti today, although that may be a tautology. There are some advanced devices that we don’t often see in the quickie and some fairly obscure general knowledge is called for.

I found this on the easier end of the scale from Joker, with lots of puns and a refreshing absence of long anagrams.

One on the easier side today, with a theme that – most unusually – I spotted.

Another enjoyable tussle with Joker today. I was speeding along, but then my last three took me a good five minutes.
