  1. I can’t imagine someone saying “It’s the story of one’s life” rather than “It’s the story of my life”, but no doubt it’s in one of the dictionaries.

    Small amendment – the puzzle number is 1108.

  2. 51 mins over two sessions, and I made a note that in the first session I was nodding off. Yes, 13ac was a strange one, and the ATHOS/SITUATE crossers were my last ones in.
  3. Just under 50 minutes for me, which indicates a tricky one. At least I managed to finish it, unlike yesterday’s. I agree that the apparent ONES rule becomes a bit silly when applied to phrases like this, but I suppose it’s not something to get one’s knickers in a twist about.
  4. DNF. I suppose 30a APPARELLED is a word, but I don’t recall ever seeing it in the wild. I also thought 23a YAWN rather unfair in that you had to think of a synonym for travelling and then process it in various ways. Surely this two-stage process is frowned upon?

    For some reason I can’t post as tenbob. Have I been banned?
